Project Overview

The team developed a novel hand piece for laparoscopic device articulation. The innovative design makes complex movement patterns — normally requiring robotic control — intuitive and achievable for traditional laparoscopic devices. Additional device features ancillary to movement were also integrated, creating a stand-alone design with a full suite of functionality unlike any existing options.
